In today’s age of entertainment it is important to know your options. If you are like me I just landed a decent CPOL job and finally started making a little play money. Since I finally had an entertainment budget, meant I could finally upgrade from my 1992 Sony Trinitron that weighed the same as my compact car. I was in the market for something large, thin, high refresh rate, and superior contrast. I had friends that owned Philips, Samsung, and Vizio, LED’s. After years of ridicule I could finally have what they had. I had watched all three TV’s at different points in time. They were all during football season so I got to see the same content on all three. Two of the LED’s were on stands and one had a first person shooter games online
.
The wall mounted one was done right with a recessed power outlet and HDMI plug therefore giving it a floating look that I really liked. I know its hard work to do it but aesthetically I believe it is worth it. I happened to drop by my friend will the wall mount whenever they were installing it. Believe it or not they had mounted it about twenty minutes. The men who mounted it were definitely professionals who knew what they were doing. I however am very cheap and will do it myself. I figure that it would take me and my girlfriend a few hours to mount it since I would be cutting the wall and running the lines through it. With all of this set in my mind I was ready to find my LED TV.
I searched tirelessly and compared TV’s from dawn to dusk and drove a few salespeople to an early retirement thanks to my barrage of questions. I surfed the net for hours on end on my learn quickbooks and stumbled on a helpful website on 2012 new cars that reviewed the TV’s and ultimately helped me make my decision. I noticed a pixel blur around the Philips whenever it was showing fast motion and I really didn’t care for it. Philips in my opinion makes a great looking TV but the Vizio and Samsung just seemed better to me. The Vizio although looking good on the screen looked cheap and spotty as far as the frame went. The reviews were about even with the Philips but neither compared to the Samsung. And sure I looked at LG’s, Sharp’s, Sony’s but I knew the owners of those three TV’s and that’s all they do is watch TV, Those are always on and so I got first hand reviews and long term testing right before my eyes. I went with the Samsung because it really was what I wanted in the first place. It looked great as for as aesthetically and the picture and interface are great. Samsung had high reviews and that’s all my friend will purchase. He swears by them and like I said before, that’s all he does. Now it was time to wall mount my 55” beauty. I had purchased a dual arm articulating wall mount in order be able to move it around so we can see it from the outside patio, kitchen, and living room. We got it mounted with little headache and it just looks amazing. The only screw up was that I did not take wire measurements with the wall mount full extended.
